Kites and Banners
Monday 14 & Tuesday 15 April, 2-4pm
We are using all the colourful banners in the Hackney Peace Carnival Mural as the inspiration for two days of kite and banner making with Hackney artists Yemi Awosile and Emamoke Ukeleghe. Come for one day, or come for both and fly this summer!
Wild Garden Collage
Wednesday 16 April, 2-4pm
Explore the garden looking close up at patterns and textures and making your own sketches. Artist Nicola Plant will help you transform your drawings using string and tissue paper into a colourful textured collage, inspired by the garden.
Paint Your Own Mural Portrait
Thursday 17 April, 2-4pm
In the last of the Easter holiday activities inspired by the Hackney Peace Carnival Mural, work with artist Nicola Plant to paint your own portrait to add to our mural wall in the Garden.
The Easter workshops are most suitable for children aged 5 – 11, although younger children are very welcome, as long as a parent or carer works alongside them.
