Many thanks for your interest in volunteering at the Dalston Curve Garden.
Weekly gardening sessions take place every Saturday, 2-5pm from April – December. These sessions are an opportunity to look after Dalston Curve Garden, enjoy being outside, meet a group of other volunteers and learn all about plants and gardening. You don’t need to have previous gardening experience, but we do ask volunteers to commit to a minimum of 2 gardening sessions per month. This means you get to learn about gardening and enjoy all the benefits of volunteering at the Curve Garden and we build a strong, knowledgeable team.
Please note that due to the extremely large volume of applications for our gardening volunteering session this year, we are unable to accept any new volunteers for the moment. If you would like to be added to our waiting list, please do complete our online form and we will contact you as soon as we are able to make places available again.
We are currently still able to accept new volunteers who are interested in helping out on weekdays with our primary school work, community support mornings, or admin support. We are also actively volunteers who are skilled in carpentry and who are available on weekdays.
If you would like to get involved with any of the above, please complete the form below and we will be in touch with you as soon as a place becomes available.
Helping with children’s workshops and community events
Volunteers are crucial to the success of the year-round programme of creative workshops and community events at Dalston Curve Garden, including regular art-based holiday activities for children, cookery workshops, our annual Pumpkin Lantern Festival and our Festival of Light. If you are interested in helping out with this programme, please complete the form below and we will email you to let you know what opportunities are currently available.
