Many thanks for your interest in volunteering at the Dalston Curve Garden.
Weekly gardening sessions take place every Saturday, 2-5pm from Spring until late Autumn.
Due to the extremely large volume of applications for our gardening volunteering session this year, we are unable to accept any new volunteers until next year. If you would like to be added to our waiting list, please do complete our online form and we will contact you next year when the new growing season begins.
We are currently still able to accept new volunteers who are interested in helping out on weekdays with our community support mornings for older people, or with admin support. We are also actively seeking volunteers who are skilled in carpentry and building work and who are available on weekdays to help with developing new facilities in the Garden over the winter time.
Our gardening volunteering sessions are an opportunity to look after Dalston Curve Garden, enjoy being outside, meet a group of other volunteers and learn all about plants and gardening. You don’t need to have previous gardening experience, but we do ask volunteers to commit to a minimum of 2 gardening sessions per month. This means you get to learn about gardening and enjoy all the benefits of volunteering at the Curve Garden and we build a strong, knowledgeable team.
If you would like to get involved with any of the above, please complete the form below and we will be in touch with you next year if you are mainly interested in gardening or as soon as possible if you are interested in building or community workshop work.
Helping with children’s workshops and community events
Volunteers are crucial to the success of the year-round programme of creative workshops and community events at Dalston Curve Garden, including regular art-based holiday activities for children, cookery workshops, our annual Pumpkin Lantern Festival and our Festival of Light. If you are interested in helping out with this programme, please complete the form below and we will email you to let you know what opportunities are currently available.
