Slugs are a part of British life, and not always a popular one with gardeners! But these ultra-specialised snails are not all bad, and some have much to teach us. Their surprising evolution, behaviour and diversity (as well as ways to control them) will be showcased by mollusc specialist Dr Ben Rowson from the National Museum of Wales, as part of the Smear Garden exhibition at the Garden.

The ‘Slugs’ talk will take place in the Pineapple House at the Garden and last approximately 45 mins, followed by  Q&A

The talk is free, but please make a donation if you can to help cover costs. No booking is required, but our maximum capacity is 30 people, so please come early to avoid disappointment.

Dalston Eastern Curve Garden is hosting Smear Garden from 6pm, Friday 23 – Sunday 25 September, during Garden opening times.
