Saturday 30 June 11am – 3pm

Young people from Stoke Newington School and Sixth Form will be cooking up some tasty dishes to share with garden visitors in their ‘Happy Hackney’ event. They’ve been working with Envision, and won the Pitch 4 Change ‘Dragons Den’ style competition to support their event, which is themed around sustainable living and community sharing. As well as enjoying delicious home-made food and pizzas cooked by the young people in the Garden’s clay oven, you’ll be able to join in workshops,  including one making seed bombs, if you fancy doing some guerilla gardening in and around Dalston.

Saturday 30 June, 10.30am -2pm

The Garden will feature in Dalston based architects Levitt Bernstein’s tour of Dalston roof tops and gardens as part of this year’s ‘London Festival of Architecture’. Places need to be booked and it’s filling up fast, but all are welcome to join in when it reaches the Garden for a 1pm session addressing ‘How do you use your roof?’.
