Help count the ‘Cockney’ sparrows!

A ‘Sparrow Champion’ from the RSPB has been in touch to ask if the Eastern Curve and garden visitors will take part in a sparrow count project.

“We’re asking as many Londoners to tell us if they’ve seen sparrows in their garden or local green space between now and 12 July. It’s primarily a citizen science project to raise awareness of the sparrow decline but it will also give us valuable info on where colonies are still clinging on in the city. We’re encouraging people to enter their results online – www.rspb.org.uk/sparrowcount
