Sunday 7 June 2015, 2, 3 & 4pm
Discover ‘camera-less’ photographic printing techniques on the final day of our three week programme for Chelsea Fringe with Dalston resident and artist photographer Heather McDonough in this workshop for adults. ‘Sun-printing’ is inspired by the birth of photography and photographers Fox Talbot and Anna Atkins, who made some of their earliest images using flowers and plants.
You will learn how to produce cyanotype prints and discover how to make wonderful compositions from wildflowers and grasses found in the Eastern Curve, using this intriguing process.
Heather has been a professional photographer for twenty years, making work for numerous public commissions and exhibitions in the UK and abroad. She is also a senior lecturer in photography at London Metropolitan University.
There is a £5 charge for this workshop to cover costs.
There are three sessions in total, starting at 2, 3 & 4pm. We don’t take bookings but places are limited and are offered on a ‘first come first served’ basis for each session, so do come early to avoid disappointment.
