Saturday 26 May 2pm – 5pm
Paint flowers with flowers at this drop-in workshop with local artist and painter Hayley Harrison at the Eastern Curve. All ages and abilities welcome. Use old flowers to paint new ones – no paintbrushes allowed! Explore a different way of painting and mark marking. Playfully examine what a flower means to you and how you wish to represent it.
Hayley is a painter, and also uses drawing and text. Her work currently questions what ‘Home’ is, in both a physical and psychological sense. Hayley is “a lover of objects and stories, not necessarily historically, but the bits that are not said”. She is interested in how we recognise ourselves in the quiet moments that surround objects and place.
The ‘Painting with Flowers’ workshop is free of charge.
