Saturday 20 & Sunday 21 April 2013
The Royal Horticultural Society is promoting National Gardening Week from 15-21 April, with a special focus on planting wildflowers to support pollinating insects.
If you would like to garden at the Eastern Curve this year, we are having two more introductory afternoons for all new volunteers at the Garden this weekend – Saturday 20 April at 2pm and Sunday 21 April at 3pm. You can hear about all the plans for this year, including planting for bees, a ‘cutting garden’ and an edible flowers project.
This year we are continuing our partnership with the ‘River of Flowers’ creating and linking meadow planting across an ‘East London River’ and this Saturday all new volunteers can stay on to help prepare and plant an annual wildflower meadow. You just need to dress warmly and wear comfortable shoes. Tea and cake will be served!
