The King’s Garden:
Storytelling and Craft for children

Sunday 8 May 2022, 2-3pm and 3.30-4.30pm

Storyteller and Artist Kathryn Holt, will share the cautionary tale of a king who tried to control everything in his garden, but only ended up unhappy, until the bees helped him learn a very important lesson about nature…

You can join Kathryn for a free session at 2-3pm or at 3.30-4.30pm. Each session will begin with storytelling and then participants will be encouraged to get crafty at the making table, making paper bees and flowers inspired by the story.

These sessions are suitable for children aged 3 – 7yrs. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. There’s no booking but spaces are limited for each session, so we recommend you arrive early to avoid disappointment.

The King’s Garden is part of ‘SpringBurst’, the first of our season of creative activities exploring plants, nature and biodiversity. Programmes will be taking place until the end of 2022 and are supported by Hackney Council’s ‘Hello Again Hackney’ Fund. You can find out about their initiative, which allows residents to take advantage of discounted tickets and invitations to cultural events at venues across Hackney, at: www.lovehackney.uk/entertainment-offers
