Want to be a film-maker?

Monday 22 – Wednesday 24 August
10am – 5pm

Media for Development and Off Centre have teamed up to help young people in Hackney make a film about their lives.

If you are aged 11- 25 you can take part in this free three day course at the garden. You will learn to write a film script, use professional film-making equipment, learn how to do some special effects and work together to make a film.

The film you make can be entered into a competition with a chance to win £1,000 that you can use to carry out a project in your neighbourhood.

If you would like to take part in this film-making course, contact Gaelle Tavernier at the Off Centre’s Right Track programme at gaelle.tavernier@offcentre.org.uk or call her on 0208 986 4016.

Art Wednesday for children

Wednesday 17 August 2011, 2-5pm
FREE

Hackney artist Nicola Plant is returning to the garden for a second ‘Art Wednesday’.

This week the plants, people and wildlife in the garden and the buildings that surround it, will be the inspiration for a drawing and watercolour workshop led by Nicola.

The workshop is suitable for all ages, but we recommend that parents and adults should work together with younger children.
