Sunday 2 October, 2.30pm-4.30pm
Celebrate and explore the Autumn season by creating your own unique mini ‘Zine’ inspired by the colours and nature you can see in Dalston Curve Garden at this beautiful time of the year.
Join Hackney artists Bella McEvoy and Corinne Beaty in this free, drop-in craft workshop, to hear about the radical history and art of these ‘DIY magazines’. You will learn how to make a simple folded zine to take home and enjoy.
This workshop is suitable for adults, young people and children aged 8+. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. The afternoon starts at 2.30pm and you can drop in anytime from then on until the last entry time of 4pm. Capacity is limited to 30 participants in total.
These workshops are part of our community programming this year exploring plants, nature and biodiversity throughout the seasons and are supported by Hackney Council’s ‘High Streets’ and ‘Hello Again Hackney’ funds. You can find out about the latter initiative which allows residents to take advantage of discounted tickets and invitations to cultural events at venues across Hackney at: www.lovehackney.uk/entertainment-offers
