Saturday 31 October 2015, until 11pm

There could be no more atmospheric place to spend this Saturday’s Halloween than here at the Curve Garden! From late afternoon we will be lighting up the many pumpkins carved by creative Hackney children, young people and adults for last weekend’s Lantern Show, that are tucked into every nook and cranny. Blankets and hot water bottles, mulled wine and hot toddies will keep everyone warm, music is courtesy of DJ Newton ‘Four Aces’ Dunbar and ‘Latto’s Pizzas’ will be firing up the wood-fired oven for their Halloween ‘specials’. And then there is that giant spider…

Some of you will have seen the ‘Day of the Dead’ pumpkin carved by our ‘Pumpkin carver in residence’ fourteen year old Ali Keser last weekend, or you may have seem him at the Garden this week topping up the lantern display. Young Ali has been carving pumpkins at the Garden every year since he was nine years old, and his latest creations will be on display this weekend.

If you want to bring along any tiny ghosts, junior vampires, or little witches for ‘Trick or Treating’ in the early evening on Saturday, we would love to see them here all dressed up. And of course adult witches and Halloween spooks are more than welcome too!
